Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad

FlyingBreakingBad
downhill
thirty-five
miles per hour.

Toying
with gravity
and wind.

Riding my
bicycle
hard and fast.

Wide
country,
clear visibility,
open road.

Suddenly,
out of nothing,
backing into traffic.

Large SUV
recklessly,
cutting in,
no consideration.

Breaking bad,
my tail slipping,
rubber skidding.

Looking in
driver’s eyes,
seeing disregards.
Annoyance,
bothered
in his tracks.

Barely
avoiding
impact,
swerving
around the
monster.

Controlling
bicycle,
still going fast,
waving goodbye
my longest
phalanges
straight erected,
uttering language
not rated PG.

Tire ruined,
though not harmed,
escaped
road rash.
